Stephen A. Smith doesn't think Jimmy Butler can be the best player on a championship team

Stephen A. Smith said Butler's offensive production isn't on superstar level.

Jimmy Butler has impressively willed the Miami Heat into the 2023 NBA Finals, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics along the way. In the process, he averaged 27.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. However, that isn’t enough to convince Stephen A. Smith to proclaim Butler a legitimate No. 1 scoring option on a championship team.

“Even when he's 100 percent, I don't believe that. You think about superstars and what we usually get from those superstars in terms of offensive production, that's not Jimmy,” SAS said on Friday’s episode of First Take.
